لقد حكمت حتى الآن في خمسين عاما من النصر والسلم ، محبا لأعمالي ، مخيفا لأعدائي، ومحترما من قبل حلفائي. الغنى والشرف ، القوة والسعادة كلها انتظرت صيحتي. لقد قمت بتعداد الأيام التي كنت فيها حقا سعيدا ، فوجدتها فقط أربعة عشر يوما.

Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.-

إن معظم الناس هم سعداء بالقدر الذي يظنون به أنهم سعداء.

You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.

But what is happiness except the simple harmony between a man and the life he leads?

All men have a sweetness in their life. That is what helps them go on. It is towards that they turn when they feel too worn out.

كل البشر لديهم شيء جميل في حياتهم ، وهذا ما يساعدهم  على  الاستمرار والمثابرة. وإلى هذا الشيء الجميل فقط ، يرجعون كلما ضاقت بهم الدنيا.

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.

لا يعتبر النجاح مفتاحا للسعادة، لإن السعادة هي مفتاح النجاح. فإذا أحببت ما تقوم به فإنك حتما ستنجح.

جوهر السعادة يكمن في القيام بعمل ما ، وحب شيء ما ، شيء ما تتمناه ( تأمله ).

السعادة هي الكفاية الذاتية.

ستأتيك السعادة عندما تعود بالفائدة على نفسك وعلى الآخرين

آلاف الشموع يمكن أن تضاء من شمعة واحدة، ودون أن ينقص من عمر هذه الشمعة شيء.وهكذا السعادة : لن ينقص منها شيء إن شاركنا بها الآخرين
